- Mime shows 115200 if I connect at >28800, otherwise it gives the connect
- speed. I loaded the latest ini file from usr too. There are a couple of
- convoluted ways to check your connect speeds. If your using a character
- based or shell probram it's fairly easy. With switch 9 on your modem in
- the "ON" position issue a +++ at the UNIX prompt. After it says ok type
- ati6 or ati11 to get your connect speed and lots of other good stuff. To
- get back to UNIX type at o0 or at 01(force retrain) and your back to
- shell.
- With ppp or slipp(TCPIP connection) about the only way is to use your
- home directory of your account and ftp a non-compressable(zipped) file
- both to and from your account from your home computer. Here is what you
- should roughtly see.
-
- 33600=~3800-3900cps
- 31200=~3500-3600cps
- 28800=~3200-3300cps
- 26400=~2900-3000cps
- 24000=~2700-2800cps
- 21600=~2350-2400cps
- Note: your account needs to be non-bandwidth limited during your tests,
- so the best bet is to check during off hours.
